Critical
Race Theory (CRT) has been a hot topic and has been under scrutiny from parents
all over the country these last few months. Many parents have taken the
initiative to educate themselves on their children’s curriculum since online
learning spilled into the home environment. Upon doing so, many parents like
you have come to realize that your children are being taught the Critical Race
Theory curriculum without your knowledge. That is because in many places all
over America it is being taught under the disguise of alternative names rather
than the aforementioned controversial name. “Equity Policy” “Diversity Equity
Inclusion” are some of the names used to hide Critical Race Theory and disguise
the curriculum and its harmful content. Fortunately, many parents have caught
on and are taking the necessary steps to ensure that it is banned to avoid the
indoctrination of innocent kids.
Numerous
board meetings have been held all over the country where parents have and are
rightfully speaking out against the curriculum. In Forsyth County Georgia,
parents have shown public outrage in many different schools over the curriculum
being taught to their children. The Forsyth County Board of Education has
denied allegations that teachers in the county are teaching Critical Race
Theory. However, many parents have realized that CRT is being taught under the
disguise of different names, one alternative name of the curriculum is
“Diversity Equity Inclusion”. One after the other, parents took the opportunity
to speak out against the theory at the Forsyth County Schools Board meeting.
One parent stated that their child is being abused if they are subjected to
being taught that if they are born a white male then they are the oppressor to
all others. Another parent also took to the stand to plea with the Board to
teach their children Mathematics, sciences, and factual History and not to
indoctrinate their kids.
In
many cases, the parents at these board meetings have been cut off midway
through their pleas and speeches or intimidated by school board members. One
parent at a school board meeting brought up the school’s plans of teaching the
CRT in the fall to which she was cut off midway. The parent shed light on a
recent instance in the school where teachers were given questionnaires
regarding their stance on race and white privilege. She proceeded to ask
whether these questionnaires were distributed to determine whether a teacher
could be dismissed or intimidated into teaching the Theory. She was cut off
from her speech and told that her question was irrelevant. If that wasn’t
enough evidence for you then you ought to hear more about other parents who
have received the same treatment for advocating for their kids’ rights.
A
mom took a stand against the board meeting for intimidation and trying to
incite violence on her by a social justice mob. This happened after she
previously spoke up against the teaching of the CRT at a board meeting. A board
member then took it upon themselves to list names of parents opposing the
theory at the board meeting in a private Facebook group to get them attacked
for opposing the board and the theory. Another concerned father at a different
school presented his criticism at a school board meeting against the Critical
race theory that is taught under the name “Equity Policy”. Immediately after
the parent called the program out for what it is which is the CRT, the parent
was shut down from speaking for using the “incorrect” terminology for the
curriculum. After that, he continues to talk about the stigma the curriculum
imposes on other children and how the theory leaves out critical information
that opposes its narrative. As soon as he mentions that first-generation
Nigerian immigrants, for example, are highly successful academically and
financially in America he is asked to leave the stand.
Parents
have a right to know and critique the theory for its bias and divisive nature.
It is becoming increasingly clear that a lot of schools teach the CRT theory
under many different names to push the agenda and narrative of the theory. This
is why your voice as a parent needs to be heard and it is of great importance
that you take a stance for your children who are vulnerable to indoctrination.
